Hakim Synagogue is the spiritual home of YJP Los Angeles, led by Rabbi Mendel and Rachey Simons. It is a place for Jews of every background who are looking for something real: meaningful prayer, honest reflection, joyful community, and a deeper connection to Jewish life, to one another, and to Hashem.
Every Shabbat morning, we gather for prayer, song, Torah, conversation and Kiddush brunch. Some come for the whole morning. Some arrive for the Soul Talk. Some know every word; others are still finding their way.
There is nothing to prove here.

Torah, Chassidus and the human experience with Rabbi Mendel Simons.
12:00 PM — Kiddush Brunch
A relaxed sit-down meal with cholent, warm company, and conversations worth staying for.
Children’s Program
A warm Shabbat experience for kids, with age-appropriate activities and learning throughout the morning.

The Hakim Legacy
The Hakim Synagogue carries forth the legacy of Isaac & Touba Hakim, who established a Synagogue in Tehran in 1965.
Dedicated by their children and grandchildren with love for the Jewish people.
